The MoD made the unfortunate and poorley timed decision to appeal the ruling which awarded to servicemen significant compensation for injuries sustained.
The argument revolves around the men's decision to appeal the initial award, which they deemed to be inadequtate, they were succesful. However, officials contested the decision, based on the argument that they are being compensated for more than the original injuries - the men claimed for health complications that resulted during their treatment.
This comes at a time when we look to our government (be it politicians or MoD officials) to give support to our armed forces and their families both during and after operations abroad.
Have you served in the armed forces? Or do you know someone who has had a similiar experience? Perhaps you have no connection with the armed forces, but still have an opinion how they are being treated? HYS
